This is a summary of my reading habits, similar to the year-end report that services like like "Goodreads" provide. You can view different years by clicking the buttons below.

During this year, I've finished reading 10 books.

This is less than the number I recorded last year (13).

Each book was about 266 pages long. The shortest book I read was "The Age of Capitalism and Bureaucracy: Perspectives on the Political Sociology of Max Weber" (140 pages). The longest book I read was "God Emperor of Dune" (587 pages).

30% of the books I finished were published within the last 5 years. 40% of the books I finished were published more than 20 years ago.

For each book, about 76 days passed between the day I started reading and marking it finished. The book that took me the longest to read was The Code Book: The Science of Secrecy from Ancient Egypt to Quantum Cryptography (425 days).

We can also visualize this distribution as a survival curve. From this plot, we can estimate the probability of a new book taking X-many days to finish. Looking at the entire dataset, the curve predicts that almost 50% of books are finished before 30 days, and around 75% are finished after 90 days.
